Getting a pulse on the ever-changing ESG landscape
A newly launched World Economic Forum (WEF) resource gives a snapshot of key ESG ecosystem players. The resource aims to provide clarity and a common basis for discussion between investors, companies and other players. The map was created after the white paper, “Seeking return on ESG,” found that better system-level collaboration, communication and alignment are required to maximize the positive impact of the myriad of existing initiatives. The Sustainability Consortium (TSC) released its Impact Report in which it highlights industries that are solving sustainability, issues in need of required improvements and areas where organizations are working to improve transparency and sustainability in the future. Of the 86% of product manufacturers participating in TSC’s THESIS Index that reported making changes, 30% made more public disclosures.
Envisioning the next frontier: Integrated Reporting
Interested in Integrated Reporting <IR>, but need to learn more before making a move? Take a look at this interesting article “7 tips for adopting integrated reporting” featured in the Journal of Accountancy. The article references The Conference Board’s July 2019 report, “The Emergence of Integrated Reporting.”
